Jasper Grant is a brilliant Musical Director and Broadway Connection Master Teacher who almost had his music education cut short when he was mistakenly identified as being "tone deaf" by his third grade music teacher Miss Gladdin. Since then he has gone on to Music Direct from China to Californa including the National Tours: The Color Purple, Altar Boyz, Fame, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, Smokey Joe's Cafe. Favorite regional credits include: The Wiz, Company, The King and I, Beehive, Diamonds, A Chorus Line, Fiddler On The Roof, Jesus Christ Superstar, Tommy, Weird Romance, Quilters, South Pacific, Merrily We Roll Along, and Damn Yankees. Former Faculty: USD/Old Globe Theatre. Upcoming: Saved! (Kansas City Rep) and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Beijing) Jasper thanks Mike Norman, his first piano teacher, who didn't believe Miss Gladdin anyway. BFA, Boston Conservatory.
We had such a wonderful time with Jakob Karr. He is a fantastic teacher. He knows just how to pull the best out of all that attended the class. He is innovative, charismatic and inspiring. We felt very honored to have him as our Broadway Connection Master Teacher!” - I. Cook
Her ability to work at their pace while keeping it challenging was extremely beneficial. Our students greatly enjoyed her and we cannot wait to host another Broadway Connection master class!” - T. Hutchinson
